Our Core
Vision
We engage in activities designed to grow great humans and even better communities (especially in rural places).

Values
At Wild Company, we invest in creating resilient and thriving communities by connecting people
-
To Nature: Through authentic Canadian wilderness experiences.
-
To Place: By designing universally accessible recreation and learning spaces.
-
To Each Other: By fostering connections that prompt people to see the world in a new way.
Mission
We are creating an ecosystem where curiosity and opportunity meet in the heart of the Great Canadian Wilderness. Our programming empowers people across ages and stages of life to step into and out of their comfort zones to try new things and to fail up until they succeed.

Meet the Creator
Angela Pollak, MA, MLIS, PhD
As a librarian, entrepreneur, writer and serial volunteer Angela has spent a lot of time in creative problem solving spaces doing more and more with less and less for the greater good. Her community development approach has disrupted the equilibrium to help businesses and communities across Ontario access more than two million dollars in funding for projects that make the places we live and visit more accessible.
She advocates for participative, inclusive and accessible design that empowers people of all abilities, ages and stages to create meaningful change in their lives and in their communities. She is currently chair of Ontario's David C. Onley Award for Leadership in Accessibility Committee.
Public Speaking
Whether you're looking at a keynote, conference presentation, workshop or something else entirely, Angela's experience presenting at national and international forums can work for you too. At our wilderness campus or a venue of your choice, if you have a topic or event you'd like to discuss, let's talk!
See below for upcoming and recent engagements.
Publishing
Angela uses multi-modal storytelling strategies to guide people toward new ideas and experiences. Her award-winning writing has been published in tier 1 academic journals, books, popular press magazines, trade magazines and blogs.
